As much as I like the guys on Invisible Walls it's hard to stand by GT when they put out reviews like this. I would accept 9.3 if they had docked points from Halo 3 or COD 4 for being extremely derivative, but they seem to pick and choose when derivation matters and when it doesn't.

And for the love of God can we stop comparing this game to Tomb Raider? These games have so little common at this point I don't know why people insist on making the comparisons. And even if Unchart...

Where's Don't Stop Me Now with a background where all the performers are beating zombies with pool cues.

I knew about Play UK and Play but I didn't know Play Magazine was a separate entity from TM. I figured it was like what used to be with EGM and 1UP. Two different publications, one online, one print, but with one set of reviewers for both.

Play gave the original Uncharted 100%. I would have expected another 100% for this game but I guess it was a different reviewer this time around.

I actually expected a more thorough review from Play. This is pretty humdrum and glosses over a lot of Uncharted 2's control changes and multiplayer features.

That's the criticism? There are only a handful of non-rpgs that are even close to that length. Killzone, Halo, Gears, Resistance, COD4, all peter out around the 8 hour mark on your first playthrough.

There are a few open world games that are longer like Far Cry 2, GTA 4, and Assassin's Creed, but you'll spend half your time getting to the action.

The only comparable linear action game I can think of that betters 12-13 hours on your first go around is MGS4.

Once you take into account quality though it's easy to see this list s all turned around.

Hayter and North should be much higher because their roles are iconic and not just a ton of crappy licensed games.

And also the lack of Keith David and Ron Perlman is just a sin.

Needs more R&C weapon commercials though.

Yes, just post a link with nice pair of tits and you too can get more hits than Willie Nelson's bong.

Granted Heavy Rain is far far more tasteful than an Itagaki or Hideki game.

I love how the single player is already so fantastic that reviewers barely spend any time talking about how awesome the coop, competitive, and machinima modes are.

I don't know him personally so I can't speak to how we would react to one another, but I absolutely despise his business practices and publishing philosophy.

Let's just recount what he's done lately:

-Drop several new IP's, then sues to try and get them back once they pick up hype (Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend)
-Threaten a major platform holder to drop price, needlessly since Kotick knew a price drop was coming
-State that he would not back any game tha...

Third article of the day PS3 bashing, it really is bait PS3 fanboy day.

Naughty Dog was smart to make the beta/demo so comprehensive.

Why are people disagreeing with me? Do you think it was a coincidence the article was posted on Destructoid an hour ago and then on N4G an hour ago?

Destructoid put this on N4G on purpose because anyone with half a brain already knows there are lots of hardcore PS3 owners who frequent this site.

The author is just trying to provoke a reaction...and unfortunately is doing a good job at it.

Yeah what is this, PS3 fanboy baiting day?

5978d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

He's just baiting fanboys to prove his point. Don't email him, don't post replies calling him an Xbot, don't give him the satisfaction of being right.

And you can't until we learn what the bloody thing actually is. All we know is it has lightning bolt action, whatever that means. And don't forget that the actual MGS team is working on Peacewalker.

I think we all get that ODST is not up to the standard of quality of your typical Halo release. And the 60 dollar price tag on what should be dlc certainly doesn't help things, but this review is trash.

A score of 1.5 equates this game to Damnation and even a watered down version of Halo 3 is light-years ahead of that game. There's not even much substance to the review, just a title designed to get hits and a few paragraphs highlighting the negatives and glossing over the positiv...

Seriously, if your not Blizzard or supported by a 1st party publisher how do you expect to make it in the MMO market?

If MMO's were a bigger part of the US economy the government would come in and split up Blizzard for being a monopoly.
